Jason Bangser picked up a guitar on his ninth birthday, and has been playing regularly since then. He performs throughout Connecticut and New York as a solo artist, with his buddies Josh and Ian as Mrs. Gordon, is part of a duet with an award-winning jazz vocalist, and is the lead guitarist for the Ridgefield High School Jazz Band.
Jason is also a member of the Bensen-Scott Big Band, and the Westchester Swing Band.
As a studio musician, Jason has provided guitar for TraxFast Recording Studios and performs live with the Carol Miller Band. He is a longstanding music leader for the global youth organization BBYO, and donates his time and talent to charitable organizations, including the Youth Arts Forum and Sandy Hook Promise, for whom he co-wrote & recorded an original song, “Counting on You.”
Jason also enjoys creating original music and studies under jazz guitarist Phil Forbes.
Jason's influences range from Django Reinhardt, Stochelo Rosenberg, and Frank Vignola, to Jeff "Skunk" Baxter and Terry Kath.
